She CAN Coach Program

We are excited to announce that New Frontier SC have been accepted to participate in the inaugural phase of the TELUS She CAN Coach Program.  

 

“The TELUS She CAN Coach program is a national coach recruitment, development, and training initiative designed specifically for women, to address the challenges they face regarding soccer participation in Canada. The program aims to support new and entry-level women coaches, with the desired outcome of increasing the registration of women and girls in soccer while balancing the gender gap in participation nationwide.

Women sports leaders play a critical role in creating a welcoming and safe space for girls in sport. This project will strive to support and advance gender equity in sport by breaking down the barriers of entry for women to coach, with the desired outcome to balance the gender gap in participation between boys and girls”.

We are proud to be one of the 20 clubs working alongside Canada Soccer, Alberta Soccer in the first phase of the program. We look forward to collaborating and growing the game together.
