Madden Asante Signs for Vancouver Whitecaps
New Frontier Soccer Club congratulates Madden Asante on her acceptance to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy.
The academy offers a comprehensive development program focusing on technical, physical, mental, emotional, and personal growth for elite athletes. Players are provided with daily training, education, and accommodations. Attendees are mandated to enroll at Burnaby Central Secondary School, offering a tailored academic program aligned with the MLS Academy's schedule.
Madden is a 2009 born female player who has most recently been playing on a 2008 Boys team at New Frontier.
“The boys I am playing with are faster and stronger. I really had to adapt to their pace and how they played. This developed me as a player. I had to work on my physical, technical and tactical game. It’s helped me read the game better.”
-Madden Asante
Madden is the third player from New Frontier SC2008 Boys to join the MLS Academy. Madden joins former teammates, Brady McLarty and Zario Reyes who play for the Whitecaps MLS U16 Academy team.
"Madden is a smart player with tremendous character. She more than holds her ground playing with the boys. She plays with poise and control but also tenacity and determination. The perfect blend of grit and grace!
Madden is a very special player. We wish her well in this new endeavor and look forward to seeing her thrive in her soccer journey.”
